The person behind Road Trip Publishing

From an early age, ‘Trudie has been a foodie’. So much so that food and wine have become an integral and passionate part of her working and personal life. In fact, over the last 20 years Trudie has built up an extensive background in food and wine with hospitality, wine, food, tourism and marketing studies in Australia, USA and London including a Masters in Business.

Trudie has worked in the world of wine and food as a university wine lecturer, writer, sommelier, international wine and food promoter, cellar hand, olive oil taster and blender, premium retail wine sales manager, public speaker, cook, caterer, researcher, special wine and food event co-ordinator, show judge, and food stylist and photographer. What she doesn’t know about food and wine could fill a tasting spoon.

Always working to increase her extensive wine, food and tourism knowledge, Trudie has been dubbed “the eternal wine tourist”, having travelled widely throughout wine growing regions in Australia, Northern America, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Turkey. Travelling around Tasmania to research this, the first of her Got to Go guides, was only natural.

Trudie is the creator and owner of Food and Wine by Design, a consulting company specialising in providing marketing tools and services to food and wine businesses. She is the founding director of Road Trip Publishing Pty Ltd.

Trudie lives in Melbourne but eats and drinks globally.
